Nethara Gallage, 21
Hello! My name is nethara and i am 21 years old. I am a computer science student at Toronto Metropolitan University. I enjoy building clean, functioning websites and webapps. I would say I am quite creative so I bring a whole new perspective to combine computer science and design into everything I do.
My coding journey started in middle school where I learnt pseudocode, HTML and CSS. I advanced in highschool, learning python and Visual Basic. Scoring an A in my GCSE OLevels and an A* in GCE ALevels motivated me into following my path in computer science. Ever since then I have been improving and building projects myself.
I'm currently focusing on webapp development, game design and artificial intelligence. I want to improve AI to make it ethical and positive so it wouldn't be used in an inappropriate way. My goal in webapps is to create projects which are accessible and maximize useability.
I am skilled in node.js, react, database management systems, requirement analysis, operating systems, UI design, Figma, software management, full stack development and so on. Visit my skills page to learn more!
Outside computer science, I love drawing and creating art. I love exploring new tech, games and learning how things work. I love having alone time to destress and I love exploring places alone (solo travelling)
